Home Sweet Home

The NewMyer family is reunited once again! (This is Kim's sister, Camille.) Kim & Sadie were able to drive home to Idaho late this evening after a long wait at Primary Children's today. They are so happy to be going home. The biggest change after this go-round at the hospital will be new medications. After practicing on oranges, nurses, and even one of Sadie's doctors; Kim will now be giving Sadie a shot twice a day. Wish them both luck. It is not fun for either! We are so excited that Sadie is doing better. Kim's computer cord was lost in Utah. For now, she won't be able to update the blog, but will be able to view it. Thanks for all of the continued support!

  1. Great family picture! I am glad they are back home. Yes, good luck with the shots. It really doesn't sound fun for either of them.

  3. Good luck!! You are brave to give shots. I had to give my dog a shot once and I still think of it with a feeling of terror. :). You will be a great mommy nurse! I am so happy to hear you are home again. I will check for updates but I hope there will be very little here!

  5. We're thrilled that Sadie is back home and doing well. As for the shots... I can't help recalling a little sister of mine who confessed that she always felt jealous missing out on the "special, fun bonding time" that occurred when Mom gave me those exciting allergy shots... Hopefully it will be as positive an experience for Kim and Sadie as little Kimberly thought it was for us!

  6. Thoughts & prayers for your whole family. We think about you often. Please let us help with anything you need in Utah or otherwise. It's a challenge as a mother when a child gets any mundane illness, I cannot imagine what you guys go through. Your entire family is a clan of super heroes. We admire you all & think you're all amazing. Love-Amie & Amiya Jensen
